![]() ![]() I take them on dates on their free days, they always cook & eat together, they share hobbies & deep conversations. My engaged Sims adore each other & got the wish to marry. I was actually hoping for new relationship interactions & deeper entries in the relationship book thingie (sorry I don't know what it's called, I just recently started playing S4). I guess I’m just getting too old for the Sims and it makes me sad because I’ve been playing this game for 20+ years now. EA continues their crappy business practices and we just continue to give them our money.Įnd rant. If people don’t complain, nothing changes. ![]() I mean these were things that existed in previous titles, so it’s not like we’re asking for anything that hasn’t been done before.Īnd the things that were showcased in the livestream? Insanely buggy! How can you showcase a pack that’s coming out in a week and the core features of the pack don’t even work correctly? The whole “well, you don’t have to buy it if you don’t like it” argument doesn’t work because we know that most Simmers are going to buy this the minute it gets released. And I get that not everyone wants strippers (I know I don’t irl), but they were fun things to have in the game so at least give us the option for storytelling. No banners, tiaras, strippers/pop out cakes, dancing on counters, or bridezillas. For example, just throwing a normal party with the title of bachelor/bachelorette party. Where were the wants and nots mentioned? I didn’t see any of these showcased in the stream unless I missed something? Are we getting an attraction system? An update to likes/dislikes? Memories? They also didn’t showcase bachelor/bachelorette parties or honeymoons, so I have a feeling that both are just recycled assets we already have in game. How about proposing at a table or on a bench? Hiring a photographer to capture your proposal? Hiring a mariachi band? Again, this is a pack called “My Wedding Stories,” so why not add interactive gameplay to tell a story? Hiring a wedding planner or having a wedding planner career? I guarantee none of these things will be included in the pack despite these being things Simmers have been yapping about since day 1. Kiss up arm, leap into arms, goose, make out in bed or on the ground, cuddling to sleep, romantic stargazing, different types of kiss interactions (peck vs smooch vs tender). ![]() There are still romantic interactions missing from previous titles. But drawing in the sand? The way they showed it wasn’t even romantic in the least. Where are the new romantic interactions aside from slow dancing? And is it tied specifically to the wedding event or the floor? They never addressed that on the stream. This pack had so many opportunities to improve gameplay. Luckily, I didn’t have my hopes up too much because the livestream confirmed my fears. This was a pack I really wanted and was looking forward to. The problem with my wedding stories & dream home decorator is that there really isn’t much new gameplay involved. What new activities does my wedding stories provide that I can’t do in the base game? Compare it to like realm of magic where you now can perform magic, or vampires where you can go around sucking sims blood, Strangerville has an entire mystery, even Star Wars pack allows you to do something you couldn’t in the base game. You might think it is, but for me it doesn’t add enough new gameplay. I don’t think it’s worth $20 for flower arrangements, parties being specifically labeled for weddings, additional wedding clothes, and titles. You bring your own food or can tell the caterer what to make for your parties/wedding. You can throw a formal party and call it an engagement party there are already different types of cakes in game. You can still throw a party with just the same gender friends your sims have and call it a bachelor’s party. ![]()
